As the MiniStor project approaches its conclusion, its legacy remains active. The MiniStor unit in Cork, Ireland, as well as the other project’s demonstration sites in Santiago de Compostela, Sopron, and Kimmeria, continues to operate.
The Cork unit remains fully functional and adapted to the specific conditions of the site. It supplies electricity, heating, and domestic hot water (DHW) to a semi-detached home managed by Cork City Council. The system is designed to regulate indoor temperature while taking into account the region’s high humidity, typical of its coastal location. Take a look at the photos of the installation below.
