MiniStor enters the decisive stage with the second review meeting at Thesaloniki
As part of the periodic reporting associated to the Horizon 2020 funding programme, the MiniStor consortium met in Greece to evaluate the progress made and continue into its decisive stage. The visit lasted for two full days, 11th and 12th of April, and the place chosen was the Thesaloniki demonstrator, home to the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), where the first system is to be installed.
The consortium was accompanied by the Project Officer representing the European Commission and two external advisors on energy during the first half of the meeting. Following their review, the 17 partners decided on the best approach to implement their recommendations, shaping the timeframe that will take MiniStor from manufacturing to the evaluation in the five demonstration sites.
As part of the two-day meeting, the partners were shown the Smart Home, the household-resembling platform that will lead the way while the units are delivered for monitoring. Once Sofrigam and Psyctotherm complete the assembly, CERTH will oversee the integration of the hybrid solar collectors and the management system. Parallel to the pilot and demonstration phase, the system will be shipped to a test environment at ÉMI to verify its performance.
